Jane Wong is a provisionally registered psychologist currently completing her Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology at Queensland University of Technology. Jane also holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) with a Major in Psychology from the University of Queensland.
Jane has recently worked in the Queensland University of Technology Health Clinic (Caroline Chisholm Centre) and Brisbane Catholic Education schools, including psychometric assessment (including comprehensive cognitive and academic assessment using a range of psychometric tests) and therapeutic interventions with children, adolescents, and their parents. She has also facilitated group programs in the school setting to promote resilience and positive well-being, including the Resourceful Adolescent Program (social skills and emotional regulation for adolescents). Jane has also worked at The Aboriginal and Islander Independent Community School, where she provided assessment and counselling services to students of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.
She takes a flexible approach to therapy and tailors intervention to each client and their specific needs incorporates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Strengths Based Therapy. Jane also incorporates Mindfulness based techniques in her practice.
