Nicole has chosen to apply her specialty experience to family-based psychology. Her focus is upon helping parents manoeuvre through the challenges of parenting and co-parenting along with positioning adolescent children to succeed through the changes in early childhood and school-aged development.
With over eight years’ experience in providing therapeutic counselling and mental health interventions Nicole is well equipped to help assist the improvement in family dynamic, parenting strategy and early educational and developmental growth of children and adolescents. Nicole provides both therapeutic and assessment-based interventions with clients of all ages with a range of needs. She has a flexible approach to therapy, tailoring her approach to the needs of the individual. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Feedback Informed Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness are a few of the therapeutic interventions Nicole calls upon.
Nicole is experienced in administering a range of psychological assessments to assist clients to gain information about specific cognitive, behavioural or academic needs. She has most recently worked in the Queensland University of Technology Health Clinic, Brisbane Catholic Education Schools and Brisbane based Flexi-Schools.
