Rebekah completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney, and her postgraduate degree in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Melbourne.
Clinically, Rebekah has worked with adults and children with a variety of cognitive problems, both to identify the scope and cause, and also to provide appropriate management and intervention. She is experienced in assessing the impact of acquired brain injuries (ABI), neurological disorders and learning disabilities, such as those occurring as the result of traumatic brain injuries (TBI), stroke, infectious diseases and neurological disease. Rebekah also has experience in a Brisbane-based dementia clinic, as well as experience in assessing the impact of tumours and cancers, as well as cancer treatments, on cognitive abilities.
She has particular interest in the outcome and effects of TBI, and has published in peer-reviewed journals on the long-term consequences of TBI. Another key area of interest is the effects of chronic disease and lifestyle factors on cognitive functioning, and supporting healthy ageing.
