More about our professionals
Psychologists are experts in human behaviour. They use scientific methods to study the factors that influence the way that people think, feel and learn, and evidence-based strategies and interventions to help people to overcome challenges and improve their performance. Better Life Centre Psychologists work directly with those experiencing difficulties, such as mental health disorders including anxiety and depression.
Our psychologists are approved Brisbane MIND service providers. Brisbane MIND is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, and is managed by Brisbane North PHN. Please visit the PHN website to find out more.
Psychologists can work at an individual, group or organisational level and their ability to positively influence human behaviour. The complex and interconnected work that psychologists do to help people lead happier and more meaningful lives is always underpinned by research.

Group therapy sessions and workshops are available at Better Life. Below you can find a list of current sessions and workshops being offered:
Group Therapy Sessions
Group therapy involves one or more psychologists leading a group of patients (usually 5+). They are generally focused on a specific problem, or they may be focused on improving social skills.
Workshops are group meetings where a people engage in discussion or an activity on a particular subject. The aim is to develop skills and acquire knowledge on the selected subject of the workshop.
