Emily Abbot
Provisional Educational and Developmental Psychologist
Emily (she/her) is a registered psychologist who completed her training in Educational and Developmental Psychology at QUT. She is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, neuro-affirming, gender-affirming, and non-judgmental environment that supports the unique needs of all individuals.
Emily has experience working with individuals across the lifespan. She has counselling and assessment experience with autistic individuals, ADHDers, as well as persons with neurodevelopmental and medical conditions, high support needs, and challenges with emotional wellbeing.
Emily brings six years of experience as a disability support worker. She integrates this real-world knowledge into her practice, offering client-centred therapy and assessments tailored to each individual's unique needs.
In addition to her professional expertise, Emily brings the teamwork and goal-setting skills she developed through being an athlete and Olympian. She takes a warm and collaborative approach, working with clients to overcome challenges, and work toward a life of balance and fulfillment.
Emily is a passionate advocate for neurodivergent individuals, people with disability, and their support networks.
